posting from Huntsman-PC

Huntsman-PC is the name of my desktop at home. i can prove it to you but this isnt anything important enough to prove. trigo identities are... lol back to spm adi in english, it means i am posting this while lounging on my familiar plastic chair in the room opposite to my real room. i am home.

actually, i am home on tuesday but i've been busy. spent the rest of tuesday sleeping haha... wednesday i got very fed up that my bro didnt take good enough care of my desktop. so i had to do a whole day of maintainence to get it back to top shape. hey, its alot of work u know? then today is spent playing AVA. i suck. after almost 3 weeks of not touching a mouse, everything feels strange n alien. even the way the cursor moves in response to my hand surprise me somehow. oh, the new GUI of blogger is nice. very bandwidth efficient i would say. loads faster, looks cleaner... u guys should try it out.

the whole hospitalization is hell, nightmare. if you ask me, i wouldnt recommend anyone to go through this unless they're mentally well prepared. the physical part is not much a problem bsc there's doctors n nurses n all that to take care of you while you're in there. but srsly, dont do this unless you really want it badly. i didnt, i just didnt want 17 years of work go down the drain. anyone out there with the same birth defect as me, THINK before you say yes, cause its gonna hurt, alot. n boy am i glad to b out of that place. k, this is my daily routine in there. 6am, wake up, shower, "breakfast"(i can do it later if i want, but being on liquid diet, i seldom postpone it). then i hv to replace 8 little rubber bands in my mouth which is a frustrating pain in the ass bsc those rubber bands rarely co-operates. bout 8 till 9 am, doctors come for their routine check on patients. usually, they'll bring a whole kampung of ppl(i counted 16) to this not very big room n examine the patients like they're an alien bug speciment. after they left, im free to do watever i want. which is nothing much since it consisted of sleep, drink n read. then its till bout 11pm at night and i sleep. its a really boring life there. sure, i would wander around sometimes(i mean when the nurses r not watching, bsc im NOT allowed to be out of that room unless i hv to pee), but i cant go far. n i dont hv to go blabbing about all the procedures n tubes thing. covered those in previous post. in short, its hell. watever, im out now. but i still hv to deal with those annoying rubber bands every morning. they're so small n they hv to fit in my mouth on those hooks mounted on my braces.. its an hour at least to replace them all. n tats after some serious punching and kicking the walls n doors in frustration. and still, liquid diet. which meant im hungry most of the time. also bsc of my diet, i found myself physically weak. i cant lift stuff i can easily pick them up a few months ago, i lost my stamina(i am panting hard after going up 3 floors) and i am sleepy most of the time. this is very bad.

one thing i am proud of is that during the last day of my stay, i am able to vent my frustration and anger towards the government(with help from lenny too. thanks lenny!) to successfully implement Android into my pity Samsung Omnia 2. this phone is 3 years old(take or give a few months), boots Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional and lags as hell. seriously, every actions needs bout 3 to 6 seconds to get a reaction. i use my phone mostly to text, but the VERY slow reaction of the phone meant you get this:

 *phone rings*

-picks up phone and hit the message icon-

 *waits 3-6 secs*

 *list message from everyone*

-press the new message to open it up so i can read it-

 *waits 3-6 secs*

 *the new message is displayed*

-reads the message, then press the typing space below to reply-

*waits 3 secs(this part is the fastest)*

 *on-screen keyboard pops up*

 -starts typing reply message-

i dont know bout you guys, but this is frustratingly slow. n this is the best case scenario. in the worst case scenario which i hv encountered while im at school is this

*phone rings*

-picks up phone and hit the message icon-

 *waits 3-6 secs*

 *not done yet*

-chat with friends for a few minute-

 *not done yet*

 -frustrated, close it then reopens-

 *waits 3-6 secs*

 *not done yet*

"wtf is wrong with this phone!?"

 *list message from everyone*

-press the new message to open it up so i can read it-

 *waits 3-6 secs*

 *not done yet*

 -frustrated, close it then reopens-

 *waits 3-6 secs*

 *the new message is displayed*

-reads the message, then press the typing space below to reply-

 *waits 3 secs*

 *on-screen keyboard pops up*

its ridiculous if i hv to live with something like that. also, the functionalities of windows mobile(lets b geeks n call it winmo from now on) is poor. cant install/play Angry Birds(lol..), slow wifi, lousy GPS support(i mean GPS not even working), hv to install 3rd party(paid) software to use most of the features. n more which i am lazy to type out. so, enter the new life for this Korean made smartphone. Android. to be precise, Android 2.2, codenamed "Froyo". it is everything that winmo cant do. fast response(as in instataneous), working GPS, loads of free software in Android Market(you can get paid ones as well, but who wants them when there's freebies?), you can get software on the spot(as in no need to go through a computer to get stuff installed), blazingly fast connection speed, AND, i can play Angry Birds!!! RIO!!! dont believe me?

lol.. angry birds it is... so in general, its given my phone a new life. mom was planning on getting a iphone for me back when i was so darn pissed by this phone. now, im loving it bsc its a smartphone again instead of dumb-and-lazy phone. also, i didnt completely replaced the old OS incase the new one failed as the Android is actually a beta distro(short form for distribution), Almar(a developer) and his team is currently working on an official release or maybe the latest distro(2.3 Gingerbread). another reason i didnt completely replace is i dont dare to. to completely replace winmo, i'll hv to wipe out winmo from my phone and carefully replace it with Android. one wrong move and the phone is bricked(a technical term for screwed). a bricked phone will resemble a very expensive brick bsc the phone will no longer function, at all.

k, i'll let the pictures do the talking.

old OS, Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional bootscreen
this the home page. everytime i want to read a new sms, i press on the yellow envelope icon. the home page has got 3 pages which can be customized.
this is the Start page. this appears when u press the Start button on top left. it lists the applications or "apps" installed, along with the phone's features. even this page loads after 3 seconds... which is a headache
this is the Android 2.2 Froyo. i think all versions of Android have this bootscreen.
this is what happens before the bootscreen. line of commands like this will  flow on screen like  hacking process in movies lol..

android's home page. the 4 icons at the bottom is original, i put in the rest....

this is the so called "Start" page, but in Android, its called "App" page. every app is listed here. haha, installed Angry Birds Rio and fruit Ninja... its free wad..
this is to prove that im actually running Android 2.2 Froyo on my Samsung Omnia 2 i8000 8GB
k, tats bout it... till next time! oh, i've finished downloading Need For Speed Hot Pursuit(the 2010 version), anyone interested just give me a call or watever ways to notify me.  cheerio!
