well, u do when u chill down and relax. yesterday almost walked the whole penang island with rong and lenny. it was fun, and my leg doesnt feel like breaking off. maybe it was because with good company all bad goes away? interesting thing to think about. so anyway, went backpacking(rong isnt carrying a backpack...) with rong and lenny to penang island. i never drove to any places in penang except the usual school and general hospital... so walking suits me. better than driving actually. did i ever mentioned that i dont like driving? i'd prefer something simple like cycling or walking over driving if i can help it. prefer swimming too if the distance isnt that far or risk being swept away by ocean currents.
the trip is fun. food, places and people all in one package. i'd reckon that penang is nothing without its food. everything else is for the indoor nerds who cry pain after walking a city block(probably less). but overall, its the company of rong and lenny that makes it all complete. here we have lenny take charge as tour guide who springs into action once we hammer out where we want to go. honestly, we never planned where to go, everything was instantaneous, which makes this trip heck alot cooler. rong who would play with just bout anyting, including the water fountain in front of times square -_-"... yea, she's abit of a combination of hyperactive and crazy lol.. and me? well, cant think of anything yet so lets leave it there haha..
pictures are on fb.. lazy re-upload bsc it took me abit more than an hour for the upload to complete. and those were selected among the tons of pictures rong and lenny took.. they took... wait lemme check... a total of 329 pictures on a single day. some of them deleted bsc of various reasons.
conclusion, trip is awesome, food is great, companions are priceless. also, the laksa is fantastic! lol... hope there is another of these trips someday.. oh wait, yinjou wants one too!
sigh...
back from PBIM duty as HAM radio operator. the preparation and stuff is hectic and fun, but the actual duty itself is more than disappointing, its madness. all the last minute changes, the stupidly stingy organizers, the resources left unused... all those that makes the runners rant and complain to no ends. i didnt even want to report the complains back to base bsc there are alot of fellow HAMs already doing that n i figured i dont need to report another angry mob of runners complaining about the lack of drinking water and medical supplies. it was chaotic in a less obvious way. totally unobservable by the runners... only by the ones having to try to relay infos.
it was fun being a part of HAM social circle. met new ppl, old and young. met all kinds of ppl, from weird to wise. the kinda things that just rejuvenates your spirit to look forward towards what's in store for you at the next moment. and i seriously learned alot from this experience... think i would go again next year haha...
another thing would be things happening in my house... well, mostly mom. and i didnt wanna complain much about family troubles here bsc there seems to be too much of them floating around the cyberspace right now... its like its family bitching seasons now...
watever... duty's over, had fun, overwhelmingly tired bsc i woke up at 9am, went to meet up with junlin at 12pm, set up with Hao Tien for the whole afternoon, meet up with 9W2DCY(Daniel, really nice guy), went for dinner, shower at yifeng's house then left for St John's HQ at 10, abit of briefing, then off to our stations at 12am, signal check and mount up, 2am full runners start, then runners from all categories starts running, received alot of complains, bla bla bla, round up stragglers from 8.30 onwards, request station shutdown at 9.08am.
nvm, will go again next year...

nothing much to post. all the recent updates are posted back in fb. the main stuff is change of pc casing which i've posted pictures to fb. not feeling like reposting stuff. since there aint much ppl reading this other than myself. another major change is the Android port for my Omnia 2 has been updated. my phone is now running Froyo BETA 3. alot smoother and responsive, thanks to more RAM allocated for graphics. fyi, my phone only has 150mb of ram. to compensate or the less rams for system operations, linux swap has been created. 512mb of them.
hmm... oh yea, going for marathon duty briefing on thursday. me, junlin n toobert is going for duty for the marathon this weekend. time to put our radio licenses to good use.
other than that, welcome back lenny xD. im pretty sure u're already back in penang soil when u read this
well, tats bout it, have a nice day
