1st up the one that has survived the longest of any browsers out there. the classic Internet Explorer. the latest version is the IE 9. it has competed with many browsers at its infancy stage including the giant of its day Netscape. it once triumphed almost a decade ago.
to be honest... IE sucks. the add-on support is buggy and the addition of add-ons and extensions slows it down considerably. it doesnt render multimedia components well bsc of its closed source coding. the most outrageous thing is it has the MOST security loopholes among all other browsers. regular patching is required to cover up but Microsoft has yet to solve the problem once and for all. IE 9 was expected to be rid of these problems but it proved otherwise.
despite all the notable disadvantage, IE still remains the most used web browsers around the world. this is bsc Microsoft bundled IE along with its OS. making it the default browser on Microsoft Windows. although Microsoft has received numerous lawsuits regarding this issue, nothing has changed.
next up is the browser that put IE to shame. Mozilla Firefox. the latest version is Firefox 5.
Firefox is dubbed the safest web browser out there. with the least amount of security loopholes and robust defence against buffer overflow attacks, the only way to compromise it is human factor. the add-ons are aplenty thanks to support from Mozilla. multimedia rendering is moderate but it makes it up with superb multi-tabing browsing performance. it has the ability to clear out all history, cache and cookies on exit while only 1 other browser can do this.

3rd on the list is the direct contender to Firefox. the Google Chrome. the latest version is Chrome 14 BETA.
Chrome is undoubtly the fastest browser around. it has the fastest launch time and it surfs Google websites the fastest. websites such as Blogger.com and Youtube.com benefit from this browser. it is a simple and user friendly browser that does not need much tinkering to get it to perform at maximum performance. one of the few let downs of this browser is the presence of a hidden process when this browser is installed. in Microsoft Windows, after the Chrome has been installed, Google Toolbar is also installed even if you unchecked the option to install it at the installation page. this process is responsible for monitoring your surfing behavior and burdens the PC for those who have older PCs. also, the private surfing feature of Chrome is not sufficiently safe due to cookies and trackers being left in the PC after browsing sessions. a 3rd party cleaner is required to completely wipe it out.

another browser on the rise to stardom is the Opera browser. the latest version is the Opera 11.50.
this is a highly performance based browser. the web browsing performance is boosted using the Opera Turbo feature. when a low bandwidth situation is detected. Opera will transfer the data to a proxy server to be compressed into smaller sized data archives and sent back to the browser. this speeds up internet browsing even in poor bandwidth situations. multimedia rendering performance is off the charts and the https support is great. the only drawback is the buggy surfing experience. some sites will display elements out of place with Opera.

woke up at 6, 赖床 abit. at 8am i left house to refuel. last night i did some of the usual maintainence. check radiator coolant, engine oil, wiper fluids and battery water level. refill whichever needed refilling. then after i refuel, i went to autocity McD for breakfast.. the breaskfast combo burger sucks.. the cheese taste rotten. mayb its just me. k then went to GH penang. found the new car park building... lucky me. cause usually hv to search every crook and crannies to find space to park, and im driving a fkin big ass car.
k, appointment at 10. met that. had to go donate blood for my own use during my surgery. its called autologous(dunno if the spelling is correct) blood donation. which meant the blood u donate is not used for anyone but urself. if the surgery is cancelled or you do not need that blood, it will not be given to anyone else and will be destroyed. i donated a full plump bag of blood mind you... and the great thing is... im offered drinks and snacks after it LOL.. didnt know blood donation can b so.... advantageous.
after that... had lunch(akhmm bread, bsc was abit full from the treat after donation). then i was to wait till 2pm till next appointment... so, read the stars newspaper. after getting really bored with it... 2hrs is over. went to see the anesthetist(guy who knocks you out during a surgery), did some test and wasted alot of time walking around the hospital to various departments.. finally, at 3.50++pm i left GH towards mainland.
1st stop, megamall for the water filter catridge. turns out megamall didnt sell these things, so i bought my favorite magazine at popular and left. next, went to the pet shop at chai leng park to buy food for Milo... lastly, went to Thye Huat in indrawasih to get the filter catridge along with some electronics stuff such as the multimeter probe(which rong ruined) and solder wick...
then... after shopping. yes, tats my kinda shopping.. going home. then when approaching auto city, my car gradually lose power. as in the rpm decrease even when i floored the accelerator. speed dropped and a weird popping sound is heard when i hit the accelerator. knew something wasnt quite right but i pressed on, hoping to reach home and check. stupidly, when i got to the juru tol touch n go, i stopped to.. well, touch the card to go. and fkin hell the engine died. i was like WTF!? cant restart, no response at all from the engine, it just died. with grey smoke coming out of the hood too.
hit the emergency signal(the red triangle thing which tells everyone your'e screwed). got out of the car and popped the hood to a very steamy engine... srsly, smoke coming out from everywhere. n i told myself overheating isnt supposed to happen since i refilled the coolant YESTERDAY. but it turns out for some reason, the engine got so hot the coolants vapourized... as in the radiator is EMPTY. and the reservoir which i refilled last night was halved.
then this nice looking malay PLUS(the company) worker came. but he came to WATCH. that pissed me off badly. but i cooled myself and told myself i had to get my car off the lane so that i dont block anyone. so we(yea, after pleading to the malay) pushed the car off the lane into a little unused space infront of the tol.
overheat? sure, no problem, just need to cool it down then restart. cool..
called my mom n told her the situation calmly. she overeacted(as usual).
me:"hey mom, geng liao lo..."
mom:"WAI!!! WAT HAPPENED!!!%F^$*#
more or less like that.. minus the french. and then called the mechanic. he told me to cool off the engine, then try to add water and restart.
mom was in auto city, so i asked her to buy some bottled water bsc i only hv a 600ml bottle with me. i hv to wait bout half an hour.. so i read the magazine i bought in the car as the time pass by.

went back to college today. to finish up the PTPTN thing. next i went to the Academic Supports to tell them i will b taking a leave for 1 month due to surgery. guess what? they wont approve. said i'll b better of if i "defer". which meant i wont be joining my frens for sem 2. my sem 2 would start on JANUARY 2012. i hated that. i dont want to be 1 sem late. i dont want to be stuck at home for another 4 months doing nothing. i want to study. if i start my sem 2 at january, im gonna suck bad. also i dont want to be slacking around while everyone is studying.

i remember this year when my brother had his birthday. we went to some japanese place in auto city. it was supposed to be a happy occasion where everyone hv fun. and the most important thing of the day my BRO hv fun. and there's where the problem comes in. when we started to order, my bro wanted to eat noodles and mom objected. no problem with tat. but when my bro INSISTED, she yelled there and then. my bro had to comply. after we done eating, i was still drinking my tea. the waiter came in with the cake but without the lighter. after she left, mom asked me to get a lighter. i didnt respond for a while bsc i had the cup INFRONT of my mouth and there's still liquid FLOWING from the cup INTO my mouth. mom YELLED again. i was like wtf!?
also, i hate i whenever my mom asked me to do something. hold on, i hv no objections watsoever IF she asked me to do something when i am not doing anything important or i am free. but i DO get pissed off when she ALWAYS hv me do something like "can go buy laksa ar" or "wei, i lazy go out, can pass this to XXX ar" or "i wan watch tv, go collect money from XXX" when im in the mid of studying for exams or in the mid of a math question or fixing something in my house. to be exact, she always call for me when im in the mid of something important! when i asked her can it wait im busy she'll go "everytime i ask u do something also cannot, everytime also say busy". well, its not MY problem YOU ALWAYS pick the WRONG time to call! if she asked me to do something while im watching tv or playing games im fine with it. really, i'll do it without a word. BUT she always hv NOTHING for me to do when im free! its like she saves up all the stuff to do and unleashes all of them when im in the mid of something important. last time she interupted me in the mid of study to driver her all the way to KEDAH to buy 3 durians while stopping A MILLION times on the way just to see flowers and vege. the promised half an hour trip got extended to 4 FKING hours. its like i live to serve her and i had to dedicate ALL my time to standby to serve her. this is FKING WRONG!
she just likes to veto everything and yet outsiders think she's such a great mom and we're all so obedient. NEWS FLASH!!!!! she VETOed us!!! when she says 1, there's no such thing as 1.01, if she says 2, there's HELL no 2.01! you think her kids are so supportive? being there at each of her freakin beauty pageant? well THIS is the truth. she asked us to go nicely, and when we EVEN hestitate, she YELLS!!! so whenever she wants us to do something, she doesnt ask, she COMMANDS.

and i dont know where she get this idea of harmonic family from. probably watched too much hong kong dramas or read too much crap books. she always tell us bout all of us going to somewhere for holidays and renovating the house so that we can hv dinner at the garden n wad wad. that where the nightmare starts. you see, all these dreams of hers ALWAYS include her yelling and scolding for stupid reasons. we all knew that. so whenever she asked "eh, this holiday wan go where play", we ALL just pretend we didnt heard it. the last time i remember we had a real holiday is back in f2, when dad is still around. he's the only thing in the world who can supress her madness. he makes mom's annoying holidays fun. he does that. even a trip to the supermarket is fun with him there cause he'll teach us bout all the random things in life. too bad he left. now we had to face mom alone.

engineering maths... which is the subject i struggled with the most. plainly bsc im not made for maths... im more of the concept guy, which is y i can do CSC well. CSC doesnt need tons of calculations(ok, maybe not yet)... the biggest issue is the variety of "pattern" of integration... 5 different and stupidly complicated way to integrate a function. no wonder all the mathematicians have either white hair or less than normal amount of hair la.... take our maths lecturer as an example.. she's only 20++, but she looks 40. sad~
electronics lecturer also same la... bsc he had to calculate so much, he's still single at 31 yrs old. k k, maybe tats irrelevant.. but i just have to rant bout maths
on wednesday, i've gone to the orthodontic clinic for my usual checkups. done FOUR oral modelling which left me VERY sore. and that bitch took the skin of my inner cheeks off with tat freaking turbocharged brush with hard bristles of her. wtf.. try having a paper cut with a sandpaper.. it HURTS!!
also.. they had me buy this glue... turns out it says "Tray Adhesive" on the package... an adhesive for tray? it cost 50 bucks per bottle and one bottle is the size of those Buncho poster color bottles... no wonder everyone wants to be doctors...
for today.. nothing much. technical english exam.. its not hard but the exam hall is FREEZING man.. oh and i got a gift from Lynn.. a very nice box filled with those paper stars i used to make when i was 12. a very special feature is that they have smiley faces drawn on the sides of them. thanks Lynn, will try to finish the rest when i've got the time!

today, when i was on my way to school, i listen to fly.fm as usual. then, they have this new morning show called "Pagi Rock Crew" which the theme song is Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO. which is a really high song, makes ppl wanna spring up n dance. and then they started the topic of angry drivers. so, they asked anyone on the radio who is on the road to call in to rant bout ppl's driving. a malay woman called and it was hilarious. the woman was ranting bout the guy in front of her who cant seem to use the smart tag. then they asked her "if u can say something to the driver, what would you say?" and LOL she got so mad and she screamed alot of words. and it was aired on NATIONAL radio station LMAO!
after a few calls. came a very interesting one. a guy of 30 something of age(judging by the voice) called in. he said he want to rant bout the lady who is driving behind him. says that the lady is driving dangerously, too near too his car while he was driving beyond speed limit. then when they ask him the question, what he said was this: "i wanted to tell her to please drive safely and i love her." the dj was like "WHAT? bro, is she your wife or something?". and the guy said "yea..."
dont that just makes you go "aww...."? love is in the air...
anyway, today EEE exam. didnt screw up, but i dont think i aced it anyway. so... i'll pass, but no way an A i think... watever, thursday enginnering english, then friday engineering maths, then im FREE!!!

today, when i was on my way to school, i listen to fly.fm as usual. then, they have this new morning show called "Pagi Rock Crew" which the theme song is Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO. which is a really high song, makes ppl wanna spring up n dance. and then they started the topic of angry drivers. so, they asked anyone on the radio who is on the road to call in to rant bout ppl's driving. a malay woman called and it was hilarious. the woman was ranting bout the guy in front of her who cant seem to use the smart tag. then they asked her "if u can say something to the driver, what would you say?" and LOL she got so mad and she screamed alot of words. and it was aired on NATIONAL radio station LMAO!
after a few calls. came a very interesting one. a guy of 30 something of age(judging by the voice) called in. he said he want to rant bout the lady who is driving behind him. says that the lady is driving dangerously, too near too his car while he was driving beyond speed limit. then when they ask him the question, what he said was this: "i wanted to tell her to please drive safely and i love her." the dj was like "WHAT? bro, is she your wife or something?". and the guy said "yea..."
dont that just makes you go "aww...."? love is in the air...
anyway, today EEE exam. didnt screw up, but i dont think i aced it anyway. so... i'll pass, but no way an A i think... watever, thursday enginnering english, then friday engineering maths, then im FREE!!!
well, not much... cause i've got a major surgery scheduled at mid august..

grandparents not here....
grandparents went back to Bentong a week ago... will be back early next month. tbh, i kinda missed Bentong. its so quiet, cool and serene back there in the mid of the mountain. plus, its just a half an hour trip to Genting or to that waterfall i used to go when i was a kid. mom didnt like that place. grumbles alot whenever we go back there for CNY. i understand, its my dad's parent's place, not her own. and he dislikes my dad's side of family, i guess tats the relationship between in-laws.
so they went back. the usual chores of buying the vege is up for grabs. nobody wants to do it actually. mom was cocky the other day saying that "they not here, i can buy mah.. before they came here i always buy one". for the record, she bought only once since they left. and tat was from jusco, which i am certain is more expensive than the pasar pagi. today she forgot to buy, so i had to do it. *bscshetolmesoakhemm* i get the feeling tat im gonna b the victim of my own success later on...

went over to my sis's place just now... cycled and chatted all the way round the taman. not sure how many rounds we did but its alot. talked bout people around us, how things have developed, talked bout love, talked bout bersih(LOL) and many more which im not supposed to tell. oh did i mentioned that huiyi became my sis? i now hv 3 sis, wat a headache haha
today extra class.. finally finished the EEE1101 syllabus. next stop is final exam then move on to sem 2. was surprisingly alert and payed 101%(maybe more) attention today. as if i knew today was important or wad wad.. its not tat i dont usually pay attention in class, but its just different.
went back today and i unknowingly started to flip through the old notes. lecture slide and handmade ones. its like something within has kicked in and i started studying. now this i dont usually do... not even before SPM. the last time i did this was.. back when i was sitting for RAE exams? which is where i got my callsign "9W2NFS".

computer programming test 2 today... didnt did much reading so preparation was bad.. still, im pretty sure i can pass and at least get something show-able...

Eow Li Ni is officially a student again after today. something which left her for.. 6 months? hope she hasn't got rusty already, its all top students in there and the pressure to stay afloat must be huge. meh... she could handle it, i knew she could.
k, some advices in case YOU are reading this.
1. No cheating in exams...lol
2. No littering
3. No clubbing
4. Don't leave your drinks unattended
5. Don't trust anyone there, at least not yet
6. The world is never fair, Malays gets priority, get used to it
7. No karate chopping anyone you don't like ROFL
8. Don't sleep late, they want world class students, not pandas
9. Don't go anywhere alone, although you're president of karate society
10. If you've got a problem, come to me, not drugs nor alcohols

felt better
things happened. not allowed to tell any of it.. but it made both of us felt better. it may not work this time around but who knows, maybe it does later in life. im happy that it happened, i truly am thankful and glad.
