today the love birds had a pre-wedding party at their house. nothing much, but the mutton is good. i dont know any of the people from the girl's side. i just know her parents and siblings. nah, i can point them out, but i dont know their names nor how to call them. this is just our family, bsc we screwed up the calling of relatives so we end up calling each other by names. funny family.
p.s. her siblings are VERY hot lol
college is busy lately. alot more stuff are just rushing in, almost cant keep up with it. paired with lecturer who doesnt know what he's teaching most of the time(ok, i nvr learnt those, but i found out that i have to wiki everything he teached to understand them).
friends are boring lately. i mean there's not much social activities going on. not that i hv good social skill but its really boring. all they talk bout is games. btw, hungphung became a AVA player too. also, he joined the frisbee(is it spelled that way??) club at INTI,
there's a english project at the end of the month. 23rd june to be exact. me and hungphung are going to use the ring and wire game i made for the media week. only this time we hv hungphung to actually design the steel wire and stuff. we'll see how it comes out. or will ms sharon forget the project and we have to scrap everything. she has a tendancy to forget the assignments and works given out to us. its not tat any of us does her work anyway... ok, we do, but only those that she doesnt forget nia lol...

so life's been.... plain. nothing out of the ordinary. exam's on next week and im still fuzzing around with kubuntu. its a nice OS. if they make it more practical, im sure it'll beat microsoft.

today just feels weird
i have no idea why. i woke up at 5.30am while class starts at 12 today. i had planned not to go to school as early as usual but i cant return to sleep so i went.
it started out with kubuntu behaving weirdly, something tats not supposed to happen for a LTS version. which is the most stable version. have i told u that im officially liking linux? they're safer, faster, uses less processing power, efficient and majority of the software are open source(it means they're free). also, linux can be made to be completely compatible with window's stuff. i can open documents designed for microsoft office, i can do presentation, i can do windows based programming and i can play dota too...
for something this great to behave abnormally is bad.
the rest of the day is either moody or uninteresting. our lecturer taught contradicting theories which i am sure he isn't quite familiar with. he's basicly reading off the powerpoint slides. then there's VB class, its much more boring than usual.
the penang bridge is relentless. i saw 4 car accident in 2 days. the one yesterday had taken a guy's life. i know bsc his body is covered with a white cloth which is soaked with blood.
just now, i was playing AVA. i cant even perform a simple tap shot. which is VERY frustrating. i cant hit shit. although shit isnt what im trying to hit. my s/d dropped 3 points due to my horrible shooting.
i dont know whats happening. but it better resolve itself soon.

late medan trip post
the place's name is called Medan actually. nope, its not the capital of Indonesia. tat'll be Jakarta.
i remember waking up at 5am. banged on mom's door yelling trying to wake her up. after a messy checking, found out mom forgot to pack this, forgot to pack that... n as usual, me n my brothers get scolded because she forgot. who da hell charges the camera battery and expect to be able to use it 30 minutes later? my mom is very demanding. oh wait... back on course... i might deviate and make bad comments on my mom cause mom's really messing the whole trip up.
k... 7.30am. drove to bayan lepas with relatives. ate at a tiny restaurant(to be honest, it looks like a tiny house turned into a kopitiam), they serve fantastic fried noodles. oh and half boiled eggs there are alot better than the one they made in hotels(i'll explain that part later). had breakfast then go straight to airport. had to b there 2 hrs earlier to check in for international flights. and bsc the camera battery isnt charged... i sat at mcdonalds and plugged the charger into the socket. 2 security officer immediately stare at me, n i just waved at them... with them looking like a mix of suspicion and some other emotion. lol it was funny at the moment.
departed malaysia via Air Asia. the rush n g-force pushing u into the seat is really fun... cant do that with a car lol. n i turns out the feeling of ur ears pop is quite interesting. n swallowing air doesnt work, dunno y they put it up as tips in the pprs onboard the plane. flying above the clouds kept me glued to the windows for the whole journey in the air. too bad there's a few layers of glass preventing me from reaching towards the cloud. oh, the landing's VERY rough. i bonked my head on the top of the cabin even with my seatbelts on.
we reached there with only 5 or 6 hours to spare before the wedding. so we had lunch, in a very classed restaurant with all sorts of funny food. guess its indonesian style so i cant really complain. btw, dya know ppl over there doesnt know wat water is? they refer to water as "aqua". when my aunt ordered "aqua" i was like "walao, here can order 'agua'(male prostitutes) de ar?".
one more thing i just had to point out. there are no traffic laws over there. all off them drives big fat MPVs(multi-purpose vehicle, like mine) and they just drive like mad. there's no such thing as oncoming lane or "going" lane... they just drive. but remarkably, there's not much accidents over there according to our driver(yes, we have a personal driver bsc the girl side of the marriage is rich). and the drivers there would honk whenever they HAD to hit the brakes, or when they feel like doing it. its like they'll get summons for not honking..
on to the wedding. it was a bit of a mix of dissapointment n amazement. the amazing part is that the performances are really great. live bands, a singer from korea(happens to be the girl's side's dad's friend), a european artist who performed 变脸, and more. actually, there's more of the dissapointment part than the amazement part. but overall it's good bsc i get to see my baby face uncle get toyed by the MC haha. the "yam seng" part is probably the most fail part of the whole event. u see, they tried to integrate some of the penang wedding culture here, like the 歌台, lucky draw, "yam seng" n stuff. but they just failed, probably bsc they nvr knew the real thing but at least dont make it a laughing stock for those who knew.
got back to the hotel at 2am or wad wad. n i have to admit, the bed there is SO nice. i feel like stealing one n sneak it back to my house. its just TAT good. but at the time, i was just too tired to think of anything else, i just fell onto the bed n slept.
the next morning is not as fun as the 1st day. had breakfast at the hotel's free buffet. judging by the food there, indonesians have poor quality. no, it doenst taste bad, but im informed that we're staying at the best hotel in Medan n so far it hasnt proved itself as the best(maybe the bed did lol). after that was a bit of shopping. i shopped, as in window-shopped. then we have a few hours to spend before the flight back to malaysia. lunch at a malay restaurant. n weirdly, malays here are not very sensitive to pork or pigs. according to the driver(yes, we talked alot), malays here when mentioned bout pork or pig, they just shrugged it off, like nothing's ever happened. unlike those here who would sue or even possibly kill u.
still too much time after the lunch. had a tour around Medan, visited the old Medan palace. dya know the current sultan of Medan is only 11? his dad died in a plane crash so he got the throne. n the sultans in indonesia doesnt wield any real power, but the people just respect them tats all. poor kid.
the flight back is by Fireflies. same kinda adrenaline pumping take off, but much nicer landing. they gave freebies too! apple pie and guava juice... something i didnt expect out of economical flights.
and there you go. a full account of the trip. there wasnt much happening, but it was fun nevertheless. a new experience.

wait, i meant back from the pre-wedding dinner. nope, i didnt tye it wrongly, its a PRE-wedding dinner. the official one is 10th june. to be honest. this wedding is grand, but plagued by alot of minor problems. technical mostly. and the dishes r not really tat good. but the show's r excelent though. the event manager is really really pro.

aka lazy week
done NOTHING productive except hv having teachers sign the PTPTN pprs n lecturing the current elec comittee. everything else is just out of place. waking up at 11 n so on...
the idea of everyone else going along with their bussiness while i slack around isnt something i'll ever get accustomed to. it just.. felt wrong. a habbit i have since duty dept. cause if u aint working, u'll get screwed. well, tat was back in soo huang's reign did tat happen. zheng jie will just go goyang kaki with kat hao while we all work our butts off. it was good, back in the electronics days
yup, missed the feeling of 215 and woofers blasting the hell outta my eardrum
in college, everything is theory(for now at least, a very long now). nothing too practical. the only thing "practical" is the electronics lab class which we get to poke resistors in breadboards n test it with a multimeter... boring.
21st may, a relative of mine is getting married. my father's-father's-brother's-son. i dont really know how to name the relationship thing. so i'll stick to the term relative for now. the wedding will b in indonesia bsc his other half is indonesian. no, not malay, a chinese, hokkien to be exact. they met in high school. and the story tat follows he wont tell me.... nevertheless, they're getting married. n i was like LOL when he said he decided to give me all his spare parts(computer parts). he's like a boy who has outgrown his toys(srsly, his face looks like he's 15 or so). there's 2 wedding dinner, 21st in indonesia, then another 1 i forgot wat date in E&O penang.
bought a graphics card. Saphire HD5750 1GB GDDR5. it was the best money to performance card i can find, other than my previous card tat is. the stats are just amazing.
