Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
alas, the long wait of streamyx torrenting is over... seriously, streamyx capped of the Tx/Rx speed with some dumb instrument and its so damm slow. even with torrent... the max i can get out of this line is bout 64kbps, which is turtle compared to what torrent can actually do... 2 years ago i was enjoying super fast torrent, i mean 200+kbps fast. 64kbps is ridiculous as the torrent actually have over 2000 seeders! curse streamyx, waited for 3 days to torrent this edition of OS.
well... the wait is well worth it, the OS is packed full of features(akhemm... this IS the Ultimate edition). it doesnt need specific drivers, it is very flexible and able to utilize any piece of hardware without the proper driver. though drivers installation is mandatory if u wanna squeeze every bit of performance out of it and to avoid any driver errors in the future. but still, most of the drivers r not needed.
since this is the 64-bit version... okay, for those who dont know wat 64-bit means, dont be deterred, cuz even khaw kim seng got it wrong and he's suppose to be the top tech head in school. lol he thought his computer is 86-bit! wtf!!! had a very good and long laugh this morning when kelvin told me khaw kim seng 'qun' his '86-bit' windows XP...
okay, lets start with the 32-bit... it is probably what u're using right now as it is the most common. built around the x86 architecture(NOT A 86-BIT OS!!!lol), it uses RAM a bit differently than 64-bit counterparts. 32-bit windows write memory in RAMs in 32 bit form, meant the codes are 32 bit long. thus, it uses less RAM and tat coverts to less RAM required for the OS to operate. but, it has a limitation. because its codes are only 32 bit long, less info can be stored in a single code, hence the performance of the entire PC is decreased significantly. And, it limits the amount of RAM that can be put into the system, tats bout 3.2gb max, but we'll take it as 3gb. install more than 3gb, and Houston, we have a problem.
64 bit OS is more advanced. introduced in 2005 and Microsoft released the first 64-bit OS, the Windows XP 64-bit. it didnt go well with the market because the nature of 64-bit OS being RAM hungry and it wasnt compatible with many software at the time. 64-bit OS is built around the x64 architecture and is able to store information in 64 bit format. this translates to more information per code thus faster memory operations. and finally it meant hyper speed for 64-bit compatible computers. it is in theory able to utilize ANY amount of RAM but Microsoft capped the RAM limit at 64gb, since it is not practical to have RAM over 64gb. mainboards today are capable of supporting up to 32gb of RAM. BUT, 64-bit OS are not as compatible as 32-bit OS. many software may not be able to work in 64-bit OS. drivers are also needed to be digitally signed by Microsoft to ensure smooth operation. but hey, who cares? it is super fast!
okay... enough tech talk... but i would like to mention that windows 7 install way faster then vista and is more responsive. starts faster too, 5 secs from 'starting windows' to the log in page.

the desktop. the wallpaper can be set to change according to the pictures selected and the time till next switch can be changed.
the system page.. shows that this is a 'genuine' Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. it also shows the RAM as 4Gb, 32-bit only shows 3Gb
windows explorer. the functions in those tabs are v useful
Aero Peek, it shows the windows in a small preview... still getting used to the icon taskbar

one at the anniversary(which is far better), another 1 at my grandfather's birthday(which sucks every single year). those aunts have got to get better cakes tat those half jelly half sugar thing tat somewhat resembles a cylindrical polygon.
the anniversary.. truthfully, we bored the ex to death. n to make myself not-feel-so-bad-bout-it, at least some members came. junan came, a surprise. n its a punch in the gut to hung phung tat there are more dd members than official members.
the dance... we didnt even did tat good at practise. the day before we all trained like wat? more than 50 times!? all with hilarious errors... especially djpeace. oh, good thing wushu didnt come. or else we'll get the EYES.

next time, put me in charge of a committee tat's dedicated and WILL do their job or not at all.

n i changed my number. the new number is 012-5640116. the previous 1 is too expensive to keep, but i might use it back... as soon as the friggin contract is over, will switch it to hotlink. so this 1 is pretty much a temporary number, unless my mom gets: "hmm, i will get it done, no worry" again. cant really believe in everything she says.

school is not a place for revision, especially my class. too many variables(eh hmm ppl to talk to eh hmm). for some unfathomable reason, ppl r getting mor n more chatty, which is good if ure in a study group but not when u need to concentrate on revision.

except busy
i didnt like being busy all the time. i would juz get out in the mid of being busy n juz walk around. no, not lepak or ponteng or anything. juz walk around n watch things happen. pairs on the 情人桥, goh mooi teng yelling at 2 chinese orchestra girls for god knows wat reason, playing badminton till the bus almost left... tat sort of things kept me going. well, i know tat there's gonna b other more important reason 4 tat but i think i'll keep tat to myself for the time being.
i know i still hv heaps of unfinished homework and stacks of electronics stuff laying on my desk but i do like to hv pressure sometimes. pressure kept my head from wandering too much and well, kept me healthy in a spiritual way. its a good thing, i dun hv to follow my mom to attend some religion thingy which are a guaranteed hypnosis.
